This page explains which cookies solucionesbotanicas.com uses, what they do, and how you can control them. The short version: we use only the cookies the site needs to work. There are no analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Some cookies disappear when you close the browser (session cookies); others stay for a set period (persistent cookies). Cookies set by the site you are visiting are first-party cookies; cookies set by another service are third-party cookies.
2. The cookies this site uses
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| wp-wpml_current_language | solucionesbotanicas.com | Remembers the language you are reading the site in, so that you stay in English, French, Spanish or German as you move between pages. | Session |
| wordpress_*, wp-settings-* | solucionesbotanicas.com | Only set for our own staff when they log in to manage the site. Visitors never receive them. | Session to 1 year |
These cookies are strictly necessary. They do not identify you personally, they are not shared with anyone, and the site would not work correctly without them.
3. Third-party services
The site does not load any third-party script that sets cookies. The following services are only used when you actively click on them:
- WhatsApp: clicking the WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp, a service of Meta Platforms, which applies its own cookies and privacy policy.
- Google Maps: the “Get Directions” link in the footer opens Google Maps in a new tab. Google’s cookies apply from that moment.
- Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn: the social links are plain links. Nothing is loaded from these platforms until you click.
- Newsletter: the subscription form sends your email address to Intuit Mailchimp only when you submit it. Emails you receive from us may contain a tracking pixel that tells us whether the email was opened. This works inside the email, not on this site.
4. Why you do not see a cookie banner
Swiss law (Article 45c of the Telecommunications Act) requires us to tell you which cookies we use and how you can refuse them, which this page does. Consent is only needed for cookies that are not necessary for the service you asked for, such as analytics or advertising cookies. We do not use any, so there is nothing to consent to. If we ever add such tools, we will ask you first.
5. How to control cookies
You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking the language cookie means the site may fall back to English on each page. Instructions for the most common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings, Privacy and security, Third-party cookies and Site data
- Safari: Preferences, Privacy, Manage Website Data
- Firefox: Settings, Privacy and Security, Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings, Cookies and site permissions
6. More information
How we handle personal data in general is explained in our privacy policy. For any question, write to info@solucionesbotanicas.com.
